003 What I Think When Motherhood Feels Hard
This episode is all about challenging the notion of reducing motherhood to a single feeling, becoming aware of the narratives we've heard and tell ourselves about motherhood, and tuning into the motherhood journey we would love to experience.
The key practice from this episode is to raise your level of awareness around the stories you tell yourself around motherhood. If you're a mother already and find yourself repeating that motherhood is hard (I do this too at times! It's easy to fall into), begin paying attention to the root of what's really going on in this moment. What are you needing right now?
When motherhood feels hard, know that this is a normal feeling within the motherhood experience. Allow yourself to feel it, and when you're ready, open your mind to the possibility that motherhood gets to be all the things and ESPECIALLY that the hard moments get to be opportunities for greater self love and growth.
